About us
Connecting people through common wishes
Gimie is a product link collector and social network that connects people through their common wishes. By building an ecosystem of people and products, we allow users to save and organize their links for later access, as products and people don't always meet at a favorable time to buy. Perfect for big brands to promote their new products and small brands to be discovered as videos, photos and product reviews, once lost on the web, find a new home where a sale can be made without losing a percentage of their value. We're a place that converts the act of discovery into sure-fire sales, since you now know where the experts are shopping and what your friends are saving on their wishlists.

Our story
Gimie was founded by three women who love technology, have a strong desire to grow, and are determined to make a difference. With diverse backgrounds, they complement each other to bring this ecosystem to life. The idea for Gimie stems from market experience combined with the scientific knowledge of the CEO.
We observed interesting data, such as the 2022 Social Media Advertising report from Statista, which revealed that the average click-through rate (CTR) across all social media platforms was 1.21%, representing a slight decrease from the previous year's 1.3%. Although the difference is small, this decline highlights the growing need for more engaging and effective advertising campaigns on social media to maximize engagement and conversion. This is particularly relevant in a scenario where social media continues to be a competitive and dynamic space for brands, requiring strategies that capture attention and drive consumer action.
Beyond the challenge of creating effective campaigns, the traditional sales funnel can become costly, as it involves a prolonged process to convince the consumer to make a purchase or wait until they are ready to buy. Gimie offers a more efficient solution by allowing the consumer immediate access to the product link in a functional and intuitive manner. This not only reduces the time needed for decision-making but also lowers the costs associated with the buying journey, making the process more agile and accessible for both companies and consumers.
The rising costs of lead acquisition, as seen in Google Ads, which increased by about 20% in 2021 and another 19% in 2022, coupled with a 14% drop in conversion rates, reflects a significant shift in the market. As highlighted by the Harvard Business Review, the growing competition demands a greater emphasis on the quality of leads rather than quantity.
In this context, Gimie stands out as an effective alternative, making product links more accessible and direct to customers, aligning with the behavior of Generation Z, as categorized by the report "True Gen’: Generation Z and its implication for companies" by McKinsey & Company. It is evident that Gen Z values self-expression and careful evaluation before making any purchase. By offering a consumer experience that reflects the values and expectations of this generation, Gimie not only facilitates conversion but also creates a stronger and more trustworthy bond between brands and consumers.
